Got a question about teeth whitening?
How much does teeth whitening cost?
Our teeth whitening price starts at $450. This is for an at-home teeth whitening kit. Professional, in-chair teeth whitening costs $750 and takes 1 hour. Alternatively, you can choose a combination treatment, which costs $1050.
What’s your process for whitening teeth?
At Dentistry at the Cross we use Zoom Whitening, which involves blue LED light paired with dentist-grade rapid whitening gel. The in-chair treatment takes up to 60 minutes. Your take home whitening kit requires daily application for up to two weeks, typically for 15-30 minutes each time.
How long does teeth whitening last?
Your pearly whites should stay nice and bright for 12 to 24 months. And with a few easy lifestyle adjustments, you can prolong the life of your teeth whitening. This might include cutting down on certain foods and drinks, such as coffee, red wine, and dishes containing turmeric. Avoiding smoking and having regular dental check-ups will help keep your smile sparkling.
What is the difference between dentist teeth whitening and store-bought options?
Things like whitening toothpaste, teeth whitening strips, or non-dentist prescribed teeth whitening kits (i.e., from the supermarket or online) are not going to give you the same level (and length of) result as dental whitening. This is because only dentists can legally obtain and use higher concentrations of bleaching agents like carbamide peroxide. So, if you’re seeking an effective whitening method, contact us.
What are the risks and side effects of whitening teeth?
You might experience some tooth sensitivity, or an irritated mouth or gums. Getting teeth whitened by a professional dentist can reduce the risk of side effects. Your dentist will assess your suitability and guide you on how to achieve the best results. A dentist will also advise you if teeth whitening is not appropriate. For example, it’s not suitable for cracked teeth, those with uncontrolled gum disease, or people who are breastfeeding or are pregnant.
